Now what?

Meanwhile at the Beck cave there's a lot of optimism and ooh-rahing going on after the recent election. However based on the results, it's pretty standard fare and to be expected in American politics.

See this recent clip below:

There's very little to be happy with if anything. The best victory to be had in KY with Rand Paul. Finally people are starting to see the madness of power drunk politicians and decided to work within the "system" and send one of their own to turn it inside out. At least you have 1 senator that knows how the Constitution is supposed to work....

Unfortunately, even in my home state of Arizona we sent back some of the biggest establishment D-Bags back to Washington wearing team Red's jersey. John "Fix the danged fence" McCain and Ben "I never participated in Arizona elections" Quayle. I had no problem having to hold my nose this time and gladly put my weight behind the Libertarian candidates running for office. Even though we felt short I would rather turn it over to Democrat than let some milquetoast RINO sit in there and promise you one thing then do the exact opposite.

My main whole point of this rant is that the GOP will not save you. It can't. The die has been cast, the Rubicon crossed. Even with more buckets in the boat the water is rising faster than it can be bilged out of it. America's fate has been sealed.

I've been watching the political map of this country develop for quiet some time. Right now we are two countries which share the same borders with another. What blows me away is that you can go 300 miles in a westward direction and be bound to live under a completely different set of rules and laws, which you being a "free citizen" should be able to excercise said natural rights in peace and security. Once I step into California, my CCW permit instantly becomes invalid. The same permit in which I allowed myself (like a criminal) to be fingerprinted and an extensive background check to be conducted which after "Daddy Government" had granted me the honor to carry "concealed". With the same training, I also spent an entire workday in class understanding the laws of our state and proved myself to be proficient in hitting a target at typical threat ranges. The denizens of California do not agree in the concept of reciprocity and therefor do not get one dime of my hard earned money.

Why are guns being brought up in response to a general election? Simple. Typically I base a majority of my voting decision on one simple question: Does this person believe that the right to self defense must remain unfettered? That when something is legal for the Government (wether local, state or nationally) and illegal for it's citizens, is simple unadulterated tyranny. I will not back anyone who wishes to curb my rights in regards to "common sense" or on behalf "of the children". These same people do not view me as a free person but an expense account to be drawn on and used up for a good time. At least with real criminals, they pull no punches on who they are. These progressive/statist types like to act as if they are acting on your best behalf while sharpening their knives in secret preparing for the sacrificial meal.

So as for Arizonan's we gave the green light to a man who feels it's perfectly ok to know who what and when you sell private property to another individual and has to know when you attempt to buy said property. And we elected another man who is completely uninterested in issues we Arizonan's face and vows to protect gun owner rights by standing against a national data base (we practically already have one by de facto) and protecting hunters rights.

Wow. I am ecstatic and relieved. Hooray for freedom. =/
